National Adoption Day...

Today is National Adoption Day! Let's give thanks to the women who have made the most courageous and unselfish act of love - place their babies for adoption. Let's thank the adoptive parents who fulfill the children's lives with unconditional love and best of all let's be grateful for the miracle of life!Thankful for our blessing! Our adoption was finalized 7/1/08. Some would say Samuel's birthmom made a mistake when she got pregnant with him. I say he was NO mistake! God had a plan for him and that plan was for him to become our son!

God is so good!!

Samuel is singing, "God is so good! God is so good! He answers prayers. He's so good to me!" Smart kid! Thank you Potter's House! I'm just amazed at the Bible verses he can recite and songs he comes home singing.

Saw this quote on Adoption Network:

A baby is a miraculous gift from God, no matter how one receives it. Some are given the ability to bear them, others the ability to rear them. - Anonymous

Play Time...

Samuel and I are having play time this morning. He drags his lego blocks out and starts building on his lego table. There is a lego man who he tells me is Mr. Benji. He then tells me he's building a Journey Church. This kid just cracks me up sometimes!! I think he can see the future :-)

The things he says....

Samuel was good all week at school so I picked him up a surprise on my way to get him. He came home and told his Daddy about his surprise and then looked at me and said, "wow dude, you hooked me up today Mama!"

Saw this and loved it:

My adoption was treated as a celebration. (Wow, shouldn’t every one of our children be able to say the same?!?) ~ Michael Reagan So very true in our situation thanks to our family and Samuel's birth family.
